Ciao Napoli
Can’t believe its already been 40 days since I’ve been in Italy. In such a short time I’ve met the most amazing people, eaten too much pizza, pasta, and gelato, drank too much alcohol and been running on minimal sleep. We have 4 more nights and 5 more days. Tonight the boys are playing football tonight, Wednesday night we are having our last house party, Thursday night is our goodbye party/welcome party for the new interns, and on Friday its gonna be our last night out together and I think we’re going to Aldo’s End of the World party.
Bunch of new interns are settling into the dorms, and right now we have Venezuela, Serbia, Egypt, Russia, Greece, Australia, India, Puerto Rico, Brazil and Singapore under one roof. Pretty cool having the opportunity to meet so many people all over the world :)
On Saturday Ryan, Alejandro and I are going to Rome for a night then jetting off to Madrid for 5 days. So excited about Spain and also for summer in Perth. How I miss the sunshine. Haven’t really got much planned for Christmas itself, so we shall see how that goes. Excited to try some Paella, Jamon and churros! Definitely gonna have to detox big time when I get home, my excuse for everything right now is that I’m in Europe so its okay, but no seriously I need to stop using that excuse. Shit be getting real. Oh man, today Tanya brought me to try Baba (a unique neapolitan pastry) with white chocolate on Via Roma, so so so good!
Definitely gonna be sad saying goodbye to everyone on Saturday. My lovely Polish girl Magda left me on Monday and I already miss her! But we will meet again in Poland during the Summer soon enough ;). We promised each other that we will have a GMT (long story) reunion, possibly in Poland or Brazil for the World Cup in 2014. And we’re getting GMT hoodies made up which are gonna be pretty sweet!
Gonna make a movie from all the little clips over my trip when I have the time too. I’m starting to gather souvenirs and presents for friends and family now, running out of tiiimmeee. Especially exclusively Neapolitan things like Limoncello!
xx
